hello!

Caldwell’s family roots lay in the American South—in Kentucky and Tennessee. But she grew up playing in the cornfields of middle Ohio. Raised somewhat isolated, her imagination was in constant use. She often invented friends in the form of animals or tiny people, crafting worlds for them to inhabit.

Angela feels fortunate to utilize the strengths she developed as a child in her work, finding as much joy in them now as she did then.

She currently lives with her husband and two dogs in Elk Grove, California, near her two grown children. When she's not drawing or creating, she enjoys walking with her dogs and exploring nature.
